Queer Dance Party on Purim

Tonight's event is specifically for queer and trans folks. Please respect this space by only attending if you identify as queer and/or trans. Most of Yesod's events are open to everyone -- you can find others here.

Purim is a joyous holiday from the biblical book of Esther, which calls for celebration in the middle of the month of Adar. Many Jewish communities celebrate with a party. At Yesod Farm+Kitchen, we'll have music and dancing. We welcome your song requests! Email info@yesodfarm.org to add a song to the playlist.

There’s a fun custom of wearing masks and costumes on Purim. You’re invited to come dressed in costume, or wear whatever delights you. You can also make yourself a mask at Yesod’s craft table.

This event is outdoors. Please also dress to prepare for the weather. We’re in a different micro-climate than Asheville, so it might be colder/windier/wetter than at home.…
