About the Event
The holiday of Purim falls in the spring. Every few years, it happens twice! This is one of those years. The Jewish calendar has a leap month this year, and so we get a chance to celebrate Purim Katan (that’s Hebrew for “Small Purim”).
Purim is often a time for playfulness and creativity. We invite you to join us for an interactive workshop that uses the Jewish Studio Process method, led by a JSP Fellow. JSP is a creative practice that's designed so that anybody can participate. You'll be guided to use art materials as spiritual inquiry, following your own curiosity and pleasure.
Please RSVP on Yesod's website. We need an accurate headcount so that we can buy enough art supplies, etc.
IMPORTANT NOTES. Please read on, even if you’re familiar with Yesod. This event is different.
SCHEDULE: We ask that you do your best to come at noon. Don’t be stressed if you end up late, but please do what you can to arrive on time. This particular event is not drop-in, but rather designed for everybody to start together.
LOCATION: This is not at the usual address where Yesod holds events. You'll receive the address by email after registration.
ACCESSIBILITY: This event is indoors, and there will be an air filter. There is one step down into the room and two steps up from the room to the bathroom.
COVID: Please stay home if you are not feeling well or if you have been exposed to someone with symptoms or who has tested positive for COVID in the past 10 days. We ask that everyone brings their own mask and wears it for the entire event. If you have access to an N-95/KN-95/KF-94 mask, please wear those. We will also have masks available.
TICKETS: Please reserve 1 ticket per guest. This event is free, and we welcome donations to support Yesod Farm+Kitchen. We encourage BIPOC to sign up for free tickets, and white community members to make a personally meaningful contribution, if you’re able. We also encourage you to join Yesod in making a donation to the Reparations Stakeholder Authority of Asheville (RSAA).
This program was supported by a JSP microgrant. Learn more about Jewish Studio Project at www.JewishStudioProject.org.
