About the Event
Seven months ago, we planted garlic. Now that we've passed summer solstice, it's time to harvest!
Join us in the field. We'll pull garlic, clean it off, and braid it into strands. We'll also harvest the "volunteer" wheat and collect straw from the garlic beds. Finally, we'll spread and incorporate compost to get the soil ready for the next crop.
You're welcome to stick around from noon to 12:30 to pick berries to take home. If you're planning on berry picking, we recommend closed-toed shoes and long pants to protect you from poison ivy and to limit ticks. (In fact, we always suggest a tick check after your farm visits.)
All ages are welcome. This includes families, folks of diverse abilities, and any religious background. There will be tasks for all ages and abilities.
