About the Event

Come to Yesod Farm+Kitchen to build and decorate the sukkah (temporary hut). Join us to learn about and prepare for Sukkot, a joyous autumn farvest festival.

We'll be building the sukkah at the beginning of this event. Come early if you can help with that. (Extra hands to build sukkah are especially appreciated!) We'll decorate toward the end of the event, if building is complete. Please come for whatever amount of time works for you.

If you have hand pruners/clippers, please bring them.

Everyone is welcome, including folks of diverse abilities and any religious background. All ages are welcome, but we are not providing activities or childcare for this event.

You will receive our address upon registration.

Accessibility: The ground is grassy and sloped. Accessible parking is available a few hundred feet from the sukkah build site. General parking is a 3-5 minute walk uphill on gravel. There will be chairs in case you need to take a break and be seated. A composting toilet with cold water for handwashing is available. Please email info@yesodfarm.org with accessibility requests and questions.

COVID: Do not attend if you are experiencing covid symptoms, or tested positive for covid in the past 10 days. Do not attend if you were exposed to someone who tested positive or had covid symptoms in the past 10 days. Please email info@yesodfarm.org to request a ticket refund if you are staying home for these reasons.

Masks are required at this event. Please bring your own. We’ll provide masks to those who can’t bring one.

Weather: This event is outdoors. In case of severe weather, we may cancel or reschedule. You will receive an email by 11am the morning of the event in case of cancellation or rescheduling.

TICKETS

Please reserve 1 ticket per guest. This event is free, and we welcome donations to support Yesod Farm+Kitchen. We encourage BIPOC to sign up for free tickets, and white community members to make a personally meaningful contribution, if you’re able.
