About the Event
What is our relationship with nature? Which stories get told about gardens, land, and the outdoors? Black American writers answer these questions in a new anthology of nature essays, “A Darker Wilderness: Black Nature Writing from Soil to Stars.” Thank you to Soil and Soul Project for co-sponsoring this book club with Yesod Farm+Kitchen!
RSVP is required. Tickets are free/sliding scale, and the deadline is 10am on the day of each book club session.
Our book club will read one to two chapters each month. This time we'll read the chapter "This Land is My Land" by Sean Hill (pages 60-81).
You can find a copy of “A Darker Wilderness” at local bookstores. Last we checked, Firestorm Books & Coffee carried it, and so did Malaprops Bookstore/Café. The public library also has a few copies you can borrow.
If you have trouble getting the book, we want to help! Yesod…
